Bloomsbury Square Makes – Jacket Vogue V8430 by Marcy Tilton

One of the patterns on my current list of favourites must be the loose fitting ladies jacket, V8430 from the talented Marcy Tilton.  I decided to make it in one of my boiled wools and was really happy with the result, as it worked well. Very comfortable, soft and warm, (not too hot!) and it drapes beautifully, so I can just pop it on quickly as I head out. Fresh Start

It’s very exciting to move into our new offices, but as with all moves, it was pretty hard work getting everything in safely. We decided that there should be a new medical condition – “Ikea thumb”, after spending two consecutive weekends putting up the new storage shelves and some new cutting tables. SO happy with them! Then the good bit, rearranging my Stash, or as some people call it, the stock room. Thanks too to my god-daughter Molly, for letting me have her storage bookcase, which is now housing paperwork and my sewing things, invisibly tidied away instead of flowing out over every available surface.
