Renowned Linton Tweeds makes a high quality cloth which is wonderful to wear, particularly for a luxury outfit.
This is best for an intermediate or advanced sewer, or for a sewing-class-make, where you can work with your tutor, take their advice and grow your skills in a very satisfactory way. Go home feeling good, and looking good too!
This wonderful fabric will repay you over and over again if you lavish your sewing knowledge upon it. I would recommend lining this quality fabric, it is gorgeous and deserves it! Sometimes, I have also interlined with organza as this sets the fabric off really well and makes the finished outfit look positively couture.
The tweed has a medium to heavy weight to it, and is bouncy to the touch. I confess to a bit of squealing when it arrived on the roll in metres and metres of loveliness, which reveals a soft fabric which looks luxurious, and so stylish. It is hard to appreciate this fully in a swatch. A slightly open weave, in creamy colours but with a tiny wool thread running through in a mink colour, this is understated and gorgeous fabric.
