Ordering and payments
Our minimum order for a length of fabric is 0.5m. After that, you can select the length that you need – for example 1.8m or 2.3m and we will cut that specific length for you.
We accept payment by debit or credit card, using a secure, third-party provider. Bloomsbury Square does not record or hold any payment details.
Upon receipt of the order, you will receive a confirmatory e-mail.
Our despatch times are Monday to Friday. If your order is placed in the evenings or at weekends, the countdown starts at the open of the next working day! We aim to prepare your order quickly, although during busy times this may be within 3-5 working days of receiving it. A further email will come to confirm that we have completed your order.
We recommend that you order swatches, as fabric photographs differ on different screens. We are happy to send out swatches of fabric so that you can match for colour, find the right texture and check that the drape and weight of the fabric will be right for your project. We supply up to 6 swatches per customer for a charge of £1.50 for UK and £7.50 Other Countries.
The ordering system for our website may allow you to order more, please don’t do that! but in that case, we will send the first 6 fabrics which appear on the swatch order.
Shipping and Delivery
We are very happy to send orders for delivery worldwide and within the UK.
There are a number of different options for delivery, which will appear as you go through the check out process.
We ship to addresses within the UK using Royal Mail or by Courier if you request a special delivery.
Standard Deliveries are sent 2nd Class Royal Mail for a fixed rate of £2.95.
Standard Orders above £75 will be delivered for free.
For orders under £10, there is a fixed rate of £1.50.
For First Class orders, there is a fixed rate of £4.95.
Special Delivery orders have delivery charges and these will be notified in advance by email.
If you are outside the UK, that is not a problem, there is a fixed rate which will appear during the checkout process as you complete your address details. Your order will be sent using a tracked service to your home country. Once it has left the UK, it is the responsibility of the customer to track the parcel. Bloomsbury Square will not be responsible for non-delivery or offer refunds or replacement of the order if it does not arrive. Please make sure you complete the delivery address accurately and in full, with all the details needed by your local postal service.
We will despatch your goods as soon as possible during our working hours, and will endeavour to always do this within 3 to 5 days of receiving your order, depending on stock availability.
We understand if an order is very urgent. Please select First Class Royal Mail and let us know what you need in the comments box with your order and we will do our best to get it to you quickly.
You will receive an email to say that your order has been despatched. If your order does not arrive within two weeks, please get in touch to let us know and we will do our best to track it down for you. Notification of non arrivals must be within four weeks of the email confirming despatch. We cannot provide assistance past that time period.
We have taken care to make sure that the descriptions and dimensions of all fabrics and products are accurate. If you spot an error, please let us know, so that we can update our information. In particular, we have tried to accurately represent the colours of the fabrics in our photographs. However, sometimes these can look different on some computers and mobile devices.
