It has a slight cocoon shape and is designed as an easy pull on dress, which means no pesky zips and buttons. Yay to that!
It’s a great time to be sewing! Why?
Well one of the reasons, is the wealth of dressmaking patterns which are available.
It is so easy to find interesting patterns from pretty much anywhere in the world and access them easily via the internet. There is an amazing pool of talent and creativity among the pattern designers. When I need inspiration, I can happily spend a few enjoyable hours online looking for ideas. I see a pattern which looks right, then a few clicks and its on its way to me. Continue reading Bloomsbury Square Makes – Trend Patterns “The Cape”
There is nothing like a deadline to focus the mind!
So, the upcoming Bloomsbury Square Open Day on 15th July 2016 has prompted a major tidy up, lots of moving of fabrics, plenty of surreptitious hiding of fabric scraps/threads/mess etc and a dash to Ikea.

She popped over the other day and we had a great time looking at some options. One possibility is the elegant wrap dress V1239 by American designer Ralph Rucci, which suits her style perfectly.
It’s been a very busy day today, with three fabric deliveries. A good number of the UK delivery services made their way to my office building today. I couldn’t wait and opened all the packages, so now the office looks very messy with fabric everywhere waiting to be photographed and put onto the website for you. The fabric has arrived for a customer’s special order, plus the new black linings. Continue reading Delivery Van Mahem…
